Want to Launch Your Idea in 2020? Read this Entire Post

This week is pivotal. We’re riding the momentum of a new year, and a new decade.

Here are some rules I follow when helping clients launch. They’re in no particular order. Also, rules are meant to be broken.

DM me any questions.

Save your NDA talk. 99% of the time no one is going to steal your idea. You’re not that original and there’s nothing new under the sun. Just get started.

If you’re looking for investors you should have momentum and customers — not just an idea.

Please don’t name your entire business after a hip hop buzz word like LIT, or LITTY, or SWAG or TURNT. In 2 years you’ll regret it.

Make sure your business name is Google friendly.

Waiting on inspiration is bullshit. You don’t wait for inspiration, you do the work, even when it’s hard and opportunity will start to show her beautiful face.
Quit spamming and tagging people, unless you know them.
Unless your friends are strategists, consultants or paying customers, their opinion doesn’t really matter. You don’t need their vote unless you’re running for office.

Enjoy the start and the journey. You may or may not finish… but learn while you build.

Some people call me a guru. I don’t correct them.
