Have you ever worked with somebody who was crazy?

I have.

I used to have a contract with the Department of Transportation, and this dude was nutso.

From the minute we were introduced I knew something wasn’t right.

He introduced himself using his entire name.

First name, middle name, and last name, and threw on a ‘Junior’ at the end for good measure.

“That was weird.” I thought. “Good to meet you, I’m Anthony.”

It got even weirder — every time dude answered the phone he said, “This is ‘FirstnameMiddlenameLastnameJunior’ — how can I help you?”

He even had his email set up the same way. That had to be the longest email address in the history of the internet.

Not only that but he ended every conversation by saying: “Keep movin’ forward!” I couldn’t figure out what he was talking about. I didn’t know if it was a self-reminder, a request, or a demand.

Probably all three.

“So, why do you use your entire name every time you talk to people?” I asked him about two weeks in.

“Your full, proper name is your legacy and it was the most important part of your identity. You have to let people know your exact, full name so that no identity theft…
