Rather Than Turning the Page, It’s Much Easier to Just Throw the Book Away
Traditionally, the coming of the new year is the time we wipe the slate clean. We turn away from the previous year, from our “failures” and all that went wrong and when the clock strikes 12:01 on the 1st we can start “FRESH”. Well that’s not really how it works right? LOL
We all get fixated with our new year’s resolution, with what we can change, with our failures but how about this new year we do the opposite?
Instead of writing my new year’s resolution list, I’ve decided to create a list that doesn’t focus on my failures. I didn’t want to start my year by focusing on my weaknesses.
Instead I chose to accentuate the positive and develop change from there. I honestly believe that lasting happiness comes from developing personal strengths, not weaknesses.
Write down what you think you’re good at, what made you happy in 2019, what new skills you’ve develop in 2019 and from there, plan on how you think these things can help you reach your goals in 2020.
See how that will shift things for you!
This 2020, learn to go with the flow and don’t forget to recognize and take advantage of the many possibilities that’s around you.
You know all those experiences, those everyday coincidences that somehow put us in touch with just the right people, direct us to just the right place at just the right time and give us that next step that eventually helps us realize a long-held dream.
Hope you all have a blast celebrating the new year!
